Students in the Camp Promise at LaGrange-Frink Alumni Cultural Center were treated to an Aerodynamics 101 workshop on Thursday, July 7.
They participated in an engaging exchange as they learned about African-American pilots, astronauts and parts of the airplane. Each student received a model airplane to build and decorate.
Camp Promise is a participant in the INSPIRE 2016 program of Vision Builder Adventures. Students will participate in hands-on STEM learning experiences in Robotics, Rocketry and Aerodynamics during the week of July 11. Johnny White, President of Vision Builders shared, “We are excited to return to Kinston and Camp Promise and look forward to working with the youth.”
